ALS
Apartments
Visiting researchers
requiring short-term lodging are
invited to reserve space in the ALS Apartments conveniently
located at 1910
Oxford Street between Hearst and University Avenues
in Berkeley. The apartments
are a few steps from the Berkeley
Lab shuttle stop and minutes
from downtown Berkeley restaurants, shopping, and Bay Area
Rapid Transit (BART).
Apartment Details
- each apartment has two bedrooms, a shared bath, a kitchen,
and a living area*
- each bedroom has
two beds and can accommodate one or two people
- linens, cookware and dishes,
a weekly cleaning service, cable television, internet access, and a
local-calls telephone are all included in rental costs
- check-out time is 12 noon; a fee of $88.00 will be
charged if the apartment is not vacated by this time
- all apartments are
nonsmoking
*As the two-bedroom apartments are shared, it
is possible that male and female guests may share the central living
areas.

Rates (per person/per night)
- single-occupancy
room: $83.50 (both beds in bedroom)
- double occupancy is $47.50
per night per person (one bed in a shared bedroom)
- a two-night minimum is required for all reservations
- monthly
rates for an entire apartment are also available
- check, cash, credit cards, wire transfer, or payment through a valid
Berkeley Lab Purchase Order are all accepted
- wire transfers require
an additional $20.00 for processing
- payment is required prior to leaving
the apartments

Please note: The keys to the apartments are
only available through the ALS User Services Office. You must arrange with the ALS
Housing Coordinator when to pick them up.
