Abstract Submissions

The Advanced Light Source Users' Meeting Program Committee invites ALS users, including students and postdocs, to submit abstracts for oral or poster presentations at the annual ALS Users' Meeting, to be held at Berkeley Lab on October 20–22, 2005. Oral presentations for the Science Highlights sessions will be selected by the committee from the abstracts received; other submissions will be presented as posters. A special student poster competition will also take place at this year's meeting. The poster session will be held in conjunction with a reception for exhibitors on Thursday, October 20, from 4:30 to 7:00 P.M.

Please submit a one-page abstract detailing research done at the ALS over the past year. Abstracts may be submitted online on the Abstract Submission Form page. Please indicate on the form whether you wish your submission to be considered for oral and/or poster presentation and, if applicable, whether you wish to enter the student poster competition.

Note: The poster board size is 1.2 m (4 ft) square; push pins will be provided.

Submission Deadlines

• Monday, August 15, 2005
  To be considered for an oral presentation and/or the student poster competition

• Friday, September 30, 2005
  To guarantee a space in the poster session and be included in the program booklet.
