Soft-X-Ray Photon-In and Photon-Out Spectroscopy: New Frontiers

Advanced photon-in and photon-out soft-x-ray spectroscopy is emerging as a powerful new experimental tool in areas ranging from atomic and molecular physics to materials and environmental sciences. This workshop is designed to bring together international experts (experimentalists and theorists) with a wide range of interests such as complex/correlated electronic materials, environmental and interfacial phenomena and atomic and molecular phenomena. The workshop focus includes experimental and theoretical development of resonant elastic and inelastic scattering methods for potential applications in the study of electron behavior in in-situ chemical or biological materials as well as in novel correlated electronic materials.
