Posters
ALS users, staff, post-docs, and students are invited to participate in the general poster session or student poster competition at this year's ALS User Meeting on Monday, October 7, following the conclusion of the plenary session. The poster board size is 4 ft wide by 4 ft tall (1.2 m square); push pins will be provided.

General Poster Session
Anyone wishing to participate in the general poster session need only submit the following information when registering (no abstract is required!):
- Name
- Affiliation
- Poster Title
- Topic Area (see above)
Student Poster Competition
Abstracts are required for the student poster competiton and may be submitted when registering by uploading a PDF file. Please submit short (200 words or less) abstracts and indicate the topic session (below) for your poster. Students are particularly encouraged to submit posters for the student competition; winners will receive cash awards.
As part of the competition, students are asked to participate in a "Poster Slam"—a one-minute/one-slide oral preview of their poster at the end of the plenary session on Monday—just prior to the poster session/reception.
The winner of the student poster session will receive a cash award, and will present a ten-minute talk about their work during the awards talks on Tuesday morning. (See the winners here: 2012 ALS User Meeting Awards).
